Tribal hunting bill passed out of committee with an amendment

HB 1097 (Concerning tribal consultation regarding hunting rights and activities) was passed out of the House Committee on Community Development, Housing and Tribal Affairs yesterday. The bill was amended before it passed, removing a reference that limited the bill to only treaty tribes.

HPA bill scheduled for hearing

SB 5228 (Concerning the definition of hydraulic project in relation to the hydraulic project approval permits) has been scheduled for a public hearing in the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Parks at 1:30 on Thursday, January 26. The hearing will be held in  Senate Hearing Room 3 of the Building.
According to the bill summary, SB 5228 would revise “the definition of ‘hydraulic project,’ for purposes of chapter 77.55 RCW (construction projects in state waters), to include work at or below the ordinary high water line.”
