Analysis for capital budget, several bills get executive sessions

The state capital budget (HB 1497) will be the subject of a hearing later today and also has a new staff analysis available. You can download it here or read it below.

Also, HB 1210 (Regarding the standardization of salmon fishing time for gill net gear and purse seine gear in Puget Sound) will be part of an executive session in the House Committee on Agriculture & Natural Resources at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1.

HB 1054 (Declaring water conservation practices to be a beneficial use of water for the purposes of relinquishment) and HB 1117 (Regarding the relinquishment of water rights) will be part of an executive session in the House Committee on Agriculture & Natural Resources at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1.

Capital budget to receive first hearing

HB 1497, the state capital budget, will receive its first hearing in the House Committee on Capital Budget at 1:30 PM on Thursday, January 27.

HB 1117 and HB 1054 have hearings and new reports today

HB 1117 (Regarding the relinquishment of water rights) and HB 1054 (Declaring water conservation practices to be a beneficial use of water for the purposes of relinquishment) will both have a hearing today in the House Committee on Agriculture & Natural Resources at 10:00 a.m. Here is more information on that meeting.

Several bills that are being tracked will get hearings next week.

HB 1054 (Declaring water conservation practices to be a beneficial use of water for the purposes of relinquishment) and HB 1117 (Regarding the relinquishment of water rights) will be heard by the House Committee on Agriculture & Natural Resources at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25. SB 5012 hearing in Senate Committee on Government Operations and Tribal Relations & Elections (1-17)

Natural resources related bills from the past two days (January 17 and 18) have been added to the spreadsheet. These include companion bills to establish a Puget Sound Corp and another set of companion bills related to water rights relinquishment.

Several new natural resources related bills have been added the past two days to the master spreadsheet. This includes one from this morning on “… requirements under the state’s oil spill program” which has 20 sponsors.

Tribal testimony on crab management

SB 5012 (growth management hearings board appeals) gets a hearing and analysis

SB 5012 (Revising the standard of review utilized by the growth management hearings board when hearing appeals under the growth management act) will get a hearing at the Senate Committee on Government Operations and Tribal Relations & Elections at 10:00 a.m. on January 17. The hearing will take place in the Senate Hearing Rm 2 of the J.A. Cherberg Building.
