Agriculture non-point pollution bill scheduled for hearing

SB 6087 (Protecting water quality while maintaining and enhancing the viability of agriculture) has been scheduled for a hearing in the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Water and Rural Economic Development on January 28 at 10 a.m. The hearing will be held in Senate Hearing Room 4 in the Cherberg Building.

Critical areas bill heard in public hearing, scheduled for committee action

HB 2187 (Extending the date by which counties participating in the voluntary stewardship program must review and, if necessary, revise development regulations that apply to critical areas in areas used for agricultural activities) was heard in a public hearing last week in the House Committee on Local Government last week.

Fish-in bill passed out of committee

The House Committee on Community Development and Housing and Tribal Affairs passed HB 2080 (Vacating convictions for certain tribal fishing activities) out of committee. The bill was amended when it was passed. You can read about the amendment in the bill summary here.
