SB 6549 (Creating demonstration projects for preserving agricultural land and public infrastructure in flood plains) passed out of the House Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources yesterday.

The bill was referred to the House Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and Information Technology. A hearing and executive session for the bill is schedule for for today at 10 a.m.

Voluntary stewardship program bill quickly passes through another committee

HB 2187 (Extending the date by which counties participating in the voluntary stewardship program must review and, if necessary, revise development regulations that apply to critical areas in areas used for agricultural activities) was heard in the House Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and Information Technology on Friday, February 7 and passed out of that committee.
