Water quality and argricultural viability bill passes out of committee

SB 6087 (Protecting water quality while maintaining and enhancing the viability of agriculture) passed out of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Water and Rural Economic Development on Tuesday, February 4.

Voluntary stewardship program passes out of committee

HB 2187 (Extending the date by which counties participating in the voluntary stewardship program must review and, if necessary, revise development regulations that apply to critical areas in areas used for agricultural activities) was passed out of the House Committee on Local Government on Wednesday, February 5.

Skagit River exempt water uses bill scheduled for public hearing

SB 6467 (Ensuring that existing exempt water uses in the Skagit river basin are not subject to interruption) has been scheduled for a public hearing in the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Water and Rural Economic Development on Tuesday, February 4 at 10 a.m. The hearing will be held in Senate Hearing Room 3 in the Cherberg Building.
