SJM 8001 (Requesting Congress to provide the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries with sufficient resources to expedite its endangered species act and national environmental policy act review of Puget Sound hatchery and genetic management plans and that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries prioritize and conduct immediate review and approval of Puget Sound hatchery and genetic management plans) passed out of committee earlier this week.

The memorial passed with an amendment, that is summarized in this bill report. The memorial will be considered next by the Rules Committee, who will then decide whether to pass it along to the full senate.
