State tribal relations bill passes out of committee

HB 2032 (Concerning tribal-state relations) passed out of the House Community Development, Housing and Tribal Affairs Committee yesterday on a 4-3 vote. The bill was amended so that a tribal state legislative summit would be held every two years, instead of annually. You can watch the discussion and vote on the bill here.

State tribal relations bill hearing in public hearing, scheduled for executive session

HB 2032 (Concerning tribal-state relations) was heard in a public hearing yesterday, January 18.

The bill will be considered in executive session on Thursday, January 21 at 8:30 a.m. in house hearing room E in the O’Brien Building.

Without a public hearing first, two bills on state/tribal relations were sent to executive session in the House Committee on Community Development and Housing & Tribal Affairs on February 17 at 1:30 p.m.
