Natural resources agencies consolidation bill passes committee and house

SB 5669 (Regarding the consolidation of natural resources agencies and program) passed both the Ways and Means committee and the full house yesterday.

The bill was amended from the version that was heard in the Ways and Means committee recently. The changes are reflected in the most recent bill report, which can be found here or read in the window below:

Natural resources agency consolidation senate bill passes committtee, referred to Ways and Means

SB 5669 (Consolidating natural resources agencies and programs) was passed by the Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Marine Waters and referred to the Senate Ways & Means.

In passing its original committee, the bill was amended. The changes are summarized in a new staff report, which you can view here or below.

Natural resources agency consolidation bill public hearing

The Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Marine Waters held a public hearing for SB 5669 (Regarding the consolidation of certain natural resources agencies and programs). In the video below, before the hearing there is reference to a substitute bill, which is not yet publicly available.

The committee chair will also hold a stakeholder meeting next Monday at 5 p.m. in Room 236 of the J.A. Cherberg Building.
