HB 1117 (Regarding the relinquishment of water rights) and HB 1054 (Declaring water conservation practices to be a beneficial use of water for the purposes of relinquishment) will both have a hearing today in the House Committee on Agriculture & Natural Resources at 10:00 a.m. Here is more information on that meeting.

The Senate Committee on Government Operations and Tribal Relations & Elections held a hearing on SB 5012 (Revising the standard of review utilized by the growth management hearings board when hearing appeals under the growth management act).
Natural resources related bills from the past two days (January 17 and 18) have been added to the spreadsheet. These include companion bills to establish a Puget Sound Corp and another set of companion bills related to water rights relinquishment.
Tony Forsman of the NWIFC and Joseph Pavel, natural resources director for the Skokomish Tribe, testified earlier today at the senate Natural Resources committee.
SB 5012 (Revising the standard of review utilized by the growth management hearings board when hearing appeals under the growth management act) will get a hearing at the Senate Committee on Government Operations and Tribal Relations & Elections at 10:00 a.m. on January 17. The hearing will take place in the Senate Hearing Rm 2 of the J.A. Cherberg Building.
