HPA, forest practice fee bill passes committee, on to Ways & Means

SB 5862 (Regarding the administration of natural resources programs) passed out of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Marine Waters with a do pass recommendation and was referred to the committee on Ways & Means.

There were some amendments to the bill (newest version here), which are summarized in this new bill report (which can also be viewed in the window below).

House releases two-year budget, impacts to natural resources agencies

The state House of Representatives released their version of the two year state budget this afternoon. Here are all of the budget documents.

State oil spill program passes Ways & Means

HB 1186 (Concerning requirements under the state’s oil spill program) left the Senate Ways and Means committee and was passed onto the rules committee with a do pass recommendation.

The bill was amended before leaving the committee, the current version can be viewed here. The changes to the bill are summarized in a new staff report, which can be read here or viewed in the window below.

Capital budget public hearing

HB 1497 (Adopting a 2011-2013 capital budget) will be heard in public hearing in the House Committee on Capital Budget tomorrow, Tuesday April 5 at 8:00 a.m. The hearing will be held in House Hearing Rm B of the John L. O’Brien Building.

Public hearing on oil spill program bill

Private land field investigations bill passes Senate, on to governor

EHB 1777 (Regarding field investigations on privately owned lands) passed the Senate on a 26 to 20 vote (3 excused) yesterday. The next step is a signature by the governor. There were no amendments on the floor of the Senate.

Ruckelshaus Center process bill passes Ways and Means with amendment

There’s no details online about the amendment, but HB 1886 (Implementing recommendations of the Ruckelshaus Center process) passed out of the Senate Ways and Means committee yesterday.
